Our one-year-old classroom is a warm, nurturing environment designed to support exploration, comfort, and early independence. The room is arranged with soft furnishings, low shelves, and spaces that encourage safe movement, sensory play, and discovery. Our focus is on responsive caregiving, building secure relationships, and supporting early development through play, routine, and meaningful interactions throughout the day.
Our day includes circle time where we learn days of the week, counting 1 to 10, ABCs, and months of the year, along with book reading and story time. We use a split-room approach with one teacher on each side for more individualized attention during centers and learning activities.
Our classroom is safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate. It includes quiet areas, a dramatic play center, music station, gross motor space, manipulatives, block and construction areas. Our teaching philosophy centers on being engaging, respectful, and focused on exploration.
