Building a foundation for lifelong learning since our founding in Waynesboro
“Children learn and grow with confidence. Families partner in success, and teachers lead with passion and purpose.”
Waynesboro Early Learning Center’s primary goal is to build both self-esteem and learning concepts through group activities, shared experiences, and creative play. Our age-appropriate education program is designed to develop the “whole child.” Activities and learning experiences are planned to stimulate and encourage intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Children learn through direct experiences using their own creative ability to manipulate objects in a stimulating environment and through play. Our curriculum utilizes both techniques, allowing your child to interact with the learning environment, other children, and our teaching staff.
As success is experienced in learning activities and play, children become more confident and self-motivated to engage in a variety of challenges. They develop strong feelings of self-worth, gain positive self-esteem, and begin their lifelong love of learning.
WELC uses Experience Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based program that emphasizes conscious discipline techniques and provides children with a foundation for learning. Our program covers 10 areas of focus:
Individual progress is assessed using Experience Curriculum Assessment, with formal and informal methods to deliver the best individualized instruction.
