About Our Classroom

The Poppies classroom is welcoming and inclusive to all. We focus on relationship skills, emotional literacy, regulation, and a variety of kindergarten readiness skills. We build on these skills by providing age-appropriate and engaging activities, as well as focusing on the importance of repetition and individualization. We celebrate the different cultures in our community to promote acceptance and representation.

A Typical Day

We begin circle time after breakfast with a story, letter and number songs, and our circle time board in the morning. The kids have multiple opportunities to play in a variety of learning centers throughout the day. We also complete activities to build on letter and number recognition, writing skills, art projects, and fine and gross motor development.
